Dr Fadil Alawi is the founder of Pharm Innovation.  Fadil is an author of over 60 scientific research publications in diverse fields and has won several innovation awards. He is listed as an inventor or co-inventor on 26 patents. Fadil has also been engaged as an expert witness in court proceedings on veterinary product development.

 

Fadil has a special interest in dairy mastitis treatments. He is currently engaged in a joint research with a world-renowned Melbourne academic research group on the development of innovative teat sealant formulation free of bismuth subnitrate for dairy cows.

Fadil is a member of the Controlled Released Society (CRS), Australasian Pharmaceutical Scientists Association (APSA), NZ Controlled Released Society, NZ Society of Cosmetic Chemists and a chartered member of the MRACI Cchem.

Dr Iain Cook.png

Dr Iain Cook has more than 35 years’ experience in the preparation and analysis of complex chemical and biological samples, with a background in pharmaceutical, veterinary, industrial and agrichemical industries.

 

Iain obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Nuclear Magnetic Resonance and Synthetic Organic Chemistry from La Trobe University.  Iain’s extensive experience includes working at the Victorian College of Pharmacy and Ascot Vale, where he was awarded joint patents for novel surfactants and emulsion formulations that became commercially successful Dulux 101 range, as well as PROBE Analytical.  In 2000, Iain co-founded an independent laboratory service NMR-based analytical services business focused on non-routine analyses and problem solving for the chemical and animal/human therapeutic industries.

 

In 2013, the company was incorporated into iX Biopharma, a Singapore-based pharmaceutical and complimentary medicines manufacturer. Iain was appointed Chief Scientist in 2017. His role has been to expand the range of novel sublingually delivered pharmaceutical and supplementary actives.

Richard Lawrence has been involved in the personal care industry for nearly 20 years, with experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Product Development, Regulatory Affairs, Market Registration, Microbiological Tracebacks and Advice. Currently offering contract services to industrial clients.

 

Richard previously worked in the dairy industry and the veterinary pharmaceutical industry, and managed a commercial laboratory servicing many different industries. He has consulted as a technical expert for chemistry laboratories on behalf of government approved regulatory bodies. The biggest challenge of his career was the commissioning of a new infant formula plant which involved overseeing the fitting out of a new laboratory, assessment and purchase of necessary laboratory equipment, employment and training of 19 staff over a 4 month period.
